Scope and Contents of the Records
The Director's Office Records of Loan Requests include correspondence about accepted and rejected loan requests from other institutions for CAI artworks. The files primarily contain correspondence between the Director of the Clark and the Directors of the institutions requesting the loans. Several of the folders include reports on the value and condition of the artwork in question, interdepartmental memos between Clark staff members, and facility reports on the institution making the request.

The collection is held in the Clark Art Institute Archives.
Processing Information
Lacy Schutz, archivist, and Dani Ryan, archives assistant, processed these records in April and May 2007. Staples were removed and materials were re-housed in acid free folders and boxes.
Mario Cesareo revised this collection in May of 2022. Folders were relabelled.
