Scope and Contents of the Records
This collection houses records produced by the comptroller’s office beginning in 1971.
Joseph A. Kershaw’s records, covering the years 1971 to 1977, contain correspondence and forms regarding insurance policies for staff and works of art.
Virginia Riorden was comptroller after Kershaw from 1980-1990. The bulk of her records contain memos and correspondence regarding preparation and administration of the museum budget, staff benefits, and wages.
This collection remains open to revision upon intake of new material.

These records were transferred to the Clark Institute Archives after 1984.

These records were processed in August 2007. Staples were removed and materials were re-housed in acid free folders and boxes.
