1971 National Endowment for the Humanities

 File — Box: 19, Folder: 1
Identifier:  Sub-Series F

Scope and Contents note

From the Sub-Series:

This year contains much material from national organizations. There are files for the American Association of Museum Directors and the Council on the Arts and Humanities in most of the series in this record group, but these files are particularly extensive in 1971. GHH served on the AAMD Committee on Ethics in 1971 and there is a large file with many drafts of this committee's reports and several other folders with more general AAMD correspondence and mailings. The three folders on the Council on the Arts and Humanities include annual reports, meeting minutes, memos and nominations for membership to be considered. 1971 contains a file of correspondence between GHH and Walter Bareiss, a trustee for the Museum of Modern Art, about issues at the MoMA. The folder Spring Semester 1971 H360 Williams College contains a letter from GHH about the negative impact of the 1969 tax law on the museum.
