Scope and Contents note

From the Sub-Series:

In this exhibition, portraits were assembled with the intention of highlighting interconnections among the artists represented in the Clark's collection of prints and drawings, and also with the museum's works in other media. Together, they attempted to form a composite view of artists in France in the nineteenth century.
